SOCIAL MEDIA
Because of the Marketing Coordinator's heavy workload, I handled a large portion of Minnesota Life College's social media presence. I managed its Facebook page, which was already a runaway hit with over 14,000 likes. My duties included scheduling the Autism Awareness Thought of the Day, sharing upcoming MLC events, responding to user comments and creating original content.
I also managed Minnesota Life College's Twitter page. When I began my internship, it simply linked to the school's Facebook page. I quickly eliminated the cross-posting and started scheduling messages formatted specifically for the platform. From there I started creating additional content, developing topics such as #MLCHappenings (fun stories occurring around campus) and #ASDInspiration (quotes about Autism from major figures in history.) Near the end of my internship I drafted a detailed strategy for the implementation of other social media platforms, focusing on Pinterest and Instagram. Aspects of that plan were carried out by Minnesota Life College's following social media intern.

I've written a number of guides and articles about social media for several online outlets. As a blogger for lead generation company BuzzBuilder, I wrote in-depth about topics including predictive analytics, popular social media content and communicating with your customers. In addition, social media has been one of my core focuses at viral website Lifehack.
Social media was also one of my core focuses as writer for viral website Lifehack. I delivered almost a dozen articles on the subject and related marketing topics.
I most recently put my social media skills to the test by making content for a new client with every assignment. In my work for Emphatic I delivered batches of social media content that promoted businesses in completely different industries. It was a fantastic opportunity to increase my flexibility from having to adapt for every new assignment.
